Due to the nature of weaving and the multiple arrays of computer monitors and settings there may be some variance in the colors of the tapestry that you see on the monitor and what you see in person. Space Requirements. Tapestries come in various sizes and shapes, from column to rectangles to squares. So you will be able to find one that fits your space. When you see the size of a tapestry stated as 54” x 54” these measurements are approximate as due to the nature of weaving the size can vary slightly. The other size requirement that often gets over looked is that there has to be enough room for the brackets and decorative finials. The hanging rods available through the Tapestry Shop indicate an approx. amount of space that they require on each side of the tapestry. How to hang your tapestry. All the tapestries available through the Tapestry Shop are fully lined and finished with a rod pocket or a series of loops through which you can place a decorative hanging rod. All the metal hanging rods come with mounting hardware and instructions for mounting. The small wooden rod that comes with the smaller tapestries does not include any mounting hardware. The great debate seems to hinge around whether you should hang it close to the wall or slightly away from the wall so it hangs free. In our opinion it comes down to personal choice and what best suites your situation.
