This beautiful tapestry is a stunning rendition of a tapestry that dates back to the Gothic era of the 15th century. The original can be found at the Musee de Cluny in Paris and is part of a series of six tapestries featuring an elegantly attired Lady and a unicorn. Collectively the series is known as the Lady with Unicorn tapestries or La Dame a la Licorne.

This finley crafted tapestry is woven from a blend of chenille and cotton on a jacquard loom by skilled artisans, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The tapestry is hand finished and fully lined complete with a hanging rod sleeve through which you can pass a decorative hanging rod. To help the tapestry hang evenly it is weighted at the bottom (sown into lining).
